https://lovethenorth.ca/article/261024-ward-12-candidate-ron-goswell Failure isn't the end of the road. Sometimes, it's the most valuable lesson you'll ever learn. In this Love the North conversation, Greater Sudbury Ward 12 candidate Ron Goswell shares an important lesson from his decades of experience in business, broadcasting, leadership, and community development: if you're going to fail, fail quickly, learn from your mistakes, and keep moving forward. Goswell acknowledges that he's experienced failures throughout his career, but believes those experiences are essential to developing good judgment and becoming an effective leader. The real danger isn't making a mistake. It's failing to recognize it, refusing to learn from it, or spending so much time analyzing a decision that nothing ever gets accomplished. That philosophy applies just as much to municipal government as it does to running a business. When decisions involve hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars, leaders need the experience to recognize what isn't working, the courage to change direction, and the accountability to make better decisions. You can spend years talking about what should be done, but eventually someone has to take action. The question for Greater Sudbury is whether we're electing people prepared to make decisions, learn from setbacks, and deliver results. #LoveTheNorth #RonGoswell #Ward12 #GreaterSudbury #Leadership #BusinessExperience #LearnFromFailure #SudburyElection2026 #NorthernOntario
